2011 Pet Calendar Photo Contest!

Think you have the perfect picture of your pet?  Want to see the picture on GBAR’s annual calendar!  Then this contest is for you!

• You can enter your pet(s), as many times as you wish, into the following three categories: 

1)     The Cover ($10 per photo) – landscape orientation only

2)     People and their Pets ($5 per photo)

and /or

3)     One of four monthly pictures and/or smaller pictures throughout the calendar ($3 each or two for $5)

• Pictures that do not win the cover will have a chance for the inside pictures.  This fundraiser is sponsored by the Enterprise-Bulletin and 100% of the proceeds of entry fees and calendar sales go to Georgian Bay Animal Rescue.  Calendars will be available by the end of October.

• Please e-mail your pet(s) photos in a .JPG format (digital) to calendar@gbanimalrescue.com;

• In the body of your e-mail include your full name, contact phone number(s), category you are entering and the name of your pet (i.e.  picture P1010907.JPG is my dog named Poker);

• Payment can be mailed to Georgian Bay Animal Rescue at P.O. Box 492, Collingwood, ON L9Y 4B2.  Please include your pet(s) name and the date you e-mailed the picture to us OR bring the exact change to the Animal Shelter at 549 Tenth Line in Collingwood which is open from  Wednesday to Sunday 12:00 noon to 4:00 pm;

• Hard copy/printed pictures will also be accepted by bringing them with exact change to the Animal Shelter (see dates and times above)

• Deadline for submissions and payment will be Friday, September 10, 2010.

Treasure Tails Yard Sale

GBAR’s Treasure Tails Yard Sale continues at 2 Mountain Rd Unit 6 (beside Sears) Thursdays to Saturdays 9:30 am to 4pm, Sunday noon to 4pm.

Donations of good saleable items ie house wares, furniture, children’s toys garden items current books can be donated by dropping off Saturdays or calling Maggie 705 446-0412 cell 705 441-3018

Furniture, linens, house wares, art work, home décor, sporting equipment, children’s toys, garden tools, small appliances, books and board games.

Clumping Cat Litter still desperately needed!!

(March 25, 2010)

This is an “URGENT SITUATION” since clean litter is needed to provide a healthy environment for the cats. An appeal is being made to the public to donate clumping cat litter, or mail in financial donations which will be used to purchase cat litter.

If you are able to donate cat litter, please drop it off at the main shelter 549 Tenth Line North, off Mountain Road (beside the Public Works yard in Collingwood). Donations by cheque can be mailed to GBAR, P.O. Box 492, Collingwood, ON L9Y 4B2, or click the CanadaHelps button below to donate Online. Click ‘Operational Funds’ for your donation and indicate ‘Cat Litter Appeal’ in the Remarks section.
